The title of the project is "Magnetic conjugate effects during the space weather storms in the ionosphere and plasmasphere inferred from GPS-derived Total Electron Content" and it was lead by our faculty member Prof.Dr. Feza Arikan. The project were conducted between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2013.

In the Joint TUBITAK 110E296 and RFBR 11-02-91370-CTa project, researchers from IONOLAB and IZMIRAN groups investigated the impact of Space Weather for the magnetosphere and ionosphere over Turkey and Russia, and their magnetic conjugate regions by application of the novel Total Electron Content (TEC) estimation, TEC mapping, Computerized Ionospheric Tomography (CIT) and ionospheric earthquake precursor algorithms developed during TUBITAK 105E171 and TUBITAK 109E055 projects. The project results are utilized not only in empirical modelling of ionosphere and its structural variability, but also for near real-time imaging of Space Weather by novel, online services from IONOLAB (http://www.ionolab.org)
and IZMIRAN (http://www.izmiran.ru) websites.
