Course objective | : | The aims of this course are as follows: Teach the students the basic properties of continuous and discrete-time sgnals and systems Make them competent in signal and system analysis both in time and frequency domains |
Learning outcomes | : | Know the basic concepts about signals and systems and classify them accordingly Compute the system output both for periodic and aperiodic signals Understand and explain the relation between time and frequency domains Use the Fourier, Laplace and z-transforms effectively in in signal and system analysis Understand the sampling theorem and identify the relation between a continuous-time signal and its sampled version both in the time domain and the frequency domain |
