Hacettepe University Robotics Student Society awarded first prize in METU Robot Days

Our department's students and Hacettepe University Robotics Student Society members Mr. Emre Erbaş, Ms. Feyzanur Ünsal, Ms. Berna Erten and Mr. Umut Utku Koçak were awarded first prize in the Freestyle Category.
Our students received their awards with their air vehicle project called "Merophy" at the event organized by Student Robotics Society of Middle East Technical University, Ankara on March 5-6, 2016.

The International METU Robot Days is an event held annually aiming to help students, academicians and industrial parties collaborate in robotics-related fields through sharing their works, ideas and capabilities under a competitive organization. The competition includes categories such as Search & Rescue, Sumo, Team Mini Sumo, Maze Solver, Trash Hunter, Line Follower and Freestyle.

The Hacettepe University Robotics Student Society ( was founded by our department's faculty member Dr. Atila Yilmaz in 2005, and has collected many prestigious awards from many national and international competitions since its inception.
